The Taylor 314ce – A Very Nice Stage Guitar
The Taylor 314ce is an acoustic-electric guitar that is very well suited to the stage! Whilst this is a prominent reason to buy this guitar, it is by no means the only one. Many features and specifications make this acoustic-electric guitar stand out from the rest.
This guitar has a very good pickup system in the Expression Electronics System. A more organic sound is achieved through this system than other systems. It has dynamic sensors and tone controls that are very sensitive. Not a single vibration gets past this system. Furthermore, its extreme sensitivity means it also picks up sounds from the top of the guitar. They are excellent for live on stage antics.
This guitar is very beautiful. Great features combined with a necessary choice in rich woods have left this guitar looking very, very nice. A lovely satin finish adorns the top, back and sides of the guitar. The bridge and fret board are made of ebony. This stunning look is furthered by a gloss top, pearl inlays and chrome Taylor tuners. At the end of the day this is one of the best looking guitars available.
The Taylor 314 holds a unique tone. It is well loved by lots of musicians the world over for its sound. It has the classic Taylor sound but with a little something extra. It has been described as having a more modern, rock acoustic sound. It contains a mid-range of clarity and a balanced treble range. The bass is not at all booming but it is indeed very full.
The Taylor 314 CE sounds wonderful and is very easy to play thanks to its very solid design. Stunning woods make up the body. Sitka spruce makes the top of the guitar. Lovely African mahogany is used for the sides of the guitar and also the back. This choice of woods combine to give that wonderful, open, balanced tone that Taylor guitars are so famous for. The left hand can clutch the neck with the greatest of ease thanks to the excellent craftsmanship that has gone into it. This in turn increases ease in play and many claim this improves your playing. The strings are also very perfectly spaced to allow equally for fingerstyle and flapicking. This gives the guitar some added versatility.
The Taylor 314ce is a beautifully designed guitar. It is a Grand Auditorium Cutaway design. There are many benefits to this shape and size. For the sound, it adds fullness and voice. It is definitely a bit more appealing design than that of the Dreadnought or jumbo design. These designs are much more tiring than the Grand Auditorium Cutaway design and make it much harder to play for extended lengths of time.
There are few guitars that suit the stage as much as this one. This guitar is indeed full of excellent features. Thanks to so many wonderful features, this guitar is truly one of the best value guitars on the market. The Taylor 314-ce is incredible on stage!
